This website is dedicated to all those who serve, especially
those who serve aboard our nation's submarines.
It is also dedicated to those brave and steadfast men,
both at Chance-Vought Aircraft and within the U.S. Navy, who designed,
built, tested, and deployed with the world's first sea-based deterrent
weapon, the Regulus cruise missile. Working in obscurity, these people
helped construct a defensive shield for the United States whose legacy
remains with us today.
Before the Tomahawk cruise missile, before the mighty
Trident and Polaris fleet ballistic missile submarines, the Regulus-equipped
submarines were the United States' shield in the Pacific. During some of
the most difficult moments in the Cold War, they kept America safe.
Thank you one and all for your magnificent service to
our nation.

Navy's version of the Nazi V-1 "Buzz Bomb"
