ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

Nick T. Spark Director / Producer / Writer

Nick T. Spark is the director and/or producer of several award winning documentary projects. A two-time recipient of the student Emmy Award, Nick received an M.F.A. in film production from the University of Southern California in 1996. A contributing editor to Wings Magazine, he has also written articles for Naval History, Proceedings, Raw Vision, the Journal of the American Aviation Historical Society, the Annals of Improbable Research, and others. He is also an accomplished photographer.

 

Doug Weiner Producer / Writer

A documentary director and editor, Doug Weiner holds an M.F.A. in film production from U.S.C. He is the owner of Sprocketworks Editorial, a digital editing and post production company. When he is not making documentary projects, Doug supervises the post-production of television shows and feature films.

 

Russ Matthews Producer

Russ Matthews holds a B.A. in history and an M.F.A. in film production from U.S.C. A member of The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, Russ has participated in the search for famed aviatrix Amelia Earhart's missing Electra. His efforts led to his induction into the prestigious Explorer's Club. Producer of many award-winning short projects, Russ recently produced the independent feature Home Room, directed by Paul Ryan. It is soon to be released by Blockbuster Entertainment.

 

Dr. David Stumpf Executive Producer and Consultant

David Stumpf received a Ph.D. in plant biochemistry in 1980. An avid history buff, Stumpf sat on the board of directors of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation, and is the docent historian for the Titan Missile Museum in Green Valley, Arizona. His book about the Titan II missile is a niche best seller, while his book "Regulus: The Forgotten Weapon" not only uncovered a forgotten era, but inspired this documentary project. He lives with his devoted wife and fellow Buddhist traveller Susan near Tucson, Arizona.
